Day 6 of our bike trip from Goa to Nepal

ROYAL ENFIELD – NO DAY WITHOUT REPAIR

March 7, 2016

No day without repair… now I can only think in solutions instead of seeing problems. And time is just relative. Before we wanted to leave we noticed that our luggage rack was broken on a few places. However, in the early morning all shops are closed. Fortunately we were able to drive with it, so we started until we found a welder.

This bike trip is though, but really beautiful. For days we haven’t seen any tourist. We see a lot of villages, landscapes and meet a lot of different people. And the trip is one big confrontation with myself. Great!

Simple life

Being at a welder we had to wait 2 hours. Regularly there was power cut off, so it took some time. In the meanwhile I was enjoying the simple life.  Every time we have a repair, Indian people are just stopping by and take a look for a while. Then they go on.

We had still a long ride to go. In the afternoon we got rain again, very unusual for this time of the year. And not softly this day. We took a shelter for 10 minutes, that was quiet cosy. And after that we got a really bad road, a lot of parts with no asphalt. Just mud, bumps and rain. We really wanted to be in Khajuraho, our stop for a few days, before it was getting dark. We made it, at 7pm we found a very nice hotel! Hotel Harmony, with a great atmosphere.
