DAY 6
March 6, 2016
Ready to leave the back tire was getting flat again. So first looking for a puncture shop… Yesterday they didn’t found a nail or something in the tire, so close to the previous puncture there was a new one. Fortunately, this man found a little peace of iron in the tire.
Letting go control…again
After one hour driving Tilasmi was fed up with my behaviour of wanting to control everything. My communication skills are not so well at these moments…he stopped driving. At the same time the back tire was getting flat again!!! And this time very quick. So to a puncture shop. Fortunately very close by, they have a lot of these shops here. The inner tube was not put back properly, so there was a hole at the place of the valve. Here they asked way to much money, in the middle of nowhere we were this time not in the mood to bargain.
Then the tire was getting flat again!!!!! Tilasmi and I also got a big argue. I wanted to control everything, including his behaviour. And I didn’t like his behaviour to me. Tilasmi found out that the valve of the tire was not closed properly and then finally, finally, finally… no problems with the tire anymore.
Driving from old to new
Since yesterday I had the feeling that this bike trip from Goa to Nepal is a methaphor for the journey from my old life to my new life. And I suddenly remembered that the man at the hotel in Nagpur yesterday evening told me that Nagpur is the centre of India and this centre was close by the hotel. So for me the centre between old and new. Beautiful!
After all these problems we finally were back on the road. We went through a beautiful tiger reserve. I felt very stable in my belly. We decided to ride long, for reaching Khajuraho tomorrow. Only after sitting this afternoon with an umbrella because of the heat. We got rain and thunderstorm driving into the dark, it was beautiful with the sunset. At 9pm we found a hotel in Jabalpur.
